Controller: The
Controller is the heart of the OneHome solution. It manages
the flow of data to the various systems installed in the house
as well as hosting any user connecting from inside the home
or over the Internet.
Configurator: The Configurator
is a software tool to setup and manage the homeowner's OneHome
system. During setup, individual thermostats, light switches,
audio components, etc. are added with a simple point and click
interface, and configured for the specific house layout. After
installation, the Configurator is used to display information
gathered by the Core Module that allows you to easily understand
the status of any sub-system from both inside the home and
remotely, thus greatly simplifying support. On a periodic basis,
the Configurator can also be used to backup and restore system
data, check for newer versions of software, and review the
status of individual communications components in the home.
Event Mapper: The Event Mapper
is the tool integrators use to create automatic actions to
simplify the way the homeowner interacts with their system.
Events consist of a trigger and a system command. For example,
the phone ringing generates a trigger that can be mapped to
a command to turn down the music. The fire alarm sounding generates
a trigger that can be mapped to illuminate pathway lights and
turn off the climate system.
Rights and Access: The Rights
and Access interface supports the management of users, passwords
and the proper user access to various system features. For
example, limiting user access prevents unauthorized users from
accidentally changing climate schedules. Assigning individual
users unique passwords allows the system to keep track of who
is connecting to the system. |
