Getting Started Overview

The Lifestyle sample solution focuses on entertainment and enjoyment, making your home a more relaxing and pleasant place to live.

The Lifestyle sample system includes the following primary components:

• The HomeBrick, which includes the Core Module software and the Computer Viewer
• The System Enclosure and the Network Assembly for a clean installation with a robust home network
• Two system tabs: Audio and Lighting
• Wireless Tablet in your family room

The Lifestyle sample solution relies on the home network to integrate the house's compatible audio and lighting systems. At the heart of the complete solution lies the HomeBrick, mounted safely inside the System Enclosure in the basement, and including the Network Assembly for a complete home network with shared Internet access.

The HomeLogic interface is accessed primarily via the Wireless Tablet in the family room. The interface can also be accessed via the Computer Viewer which allows anyone at a computer in the house.

Parts list for the Lifestyle sample system:

1	HomeBrick	The foundation for the HomeLogic system, including the Core Module and the Computer Viewer, which provides an interface from any computer inside the house or over the Internet

2	System Enclosure	The enclosure to properly install the HomeBrick

3	Network Assembly	The router, switch, firewall and integration hardware to easily terminate the home network and tie in the HomeLogic sub-systems

4	PLC to USB Port Adapter	Installed inside the System Enclosure, this adapter provides the connection to the PLC lighting system installed in the house.

5	Lighting Tab	Integrate and provides an interface for the compatible lighting system

6	Audio Tab	Integrate and provides an interface for the compatible audio system

7	Wireless Tablet	Provides the primary interface for the HomeLogic system, normally rests in its charging cradle in the family room
